Phase 1 -- Project Planning & Site Preparation is complete.
Activities completed are summarized below.

1. Evaluated existing playground equipment for re-use. The equipment shown in yellow on the Phase 1 plan that meets current safety standards will be re-used.
2. Surveyed and mapped the playground.
3. Developed the K-2 playground plans.
4. Installed fencing along open sides of the playground.
5. Relocated power pole guide wire outside playground so it would not interfere with Phase 2 facilities.
6. Began fundraising efforts, raised $11,000 with $50,000 in-kind support pledged.
7. Completed new playground drawing to support fundraising activities.
8. Relocated and saved two trees valued at $2,000 each.
9. Purchased new sand play structure-- Kompan's "PlayWorks M582P". This piece of equipment is currently stored in the school's gymnasium and will be installed during Phase 2.
10. Selected new modular play structure by popular vote of the K-2 student body. The Playworld Challenger structure will be installed during Phase 2 in the area shown as 'Kid's Choice Area' on the Phase 2 plan.
